this is sort of random but.... .
i was talking to my brother the other day... and he spilled the beans on some jw friends we had back in the day.
these were hard-core, religious jw teenagers, the kind that were chaperoned when they went on dates with good-standing sisters, the kind that, while they would not snitch on you, they would 'lovingly' offer counsel and all that.. .
I was one of those goody two shoe sheltered boys. Married as a virgin, and had no idea double lives even existed till years later.
No wonder i never got asked to any of the booze ups that i later learned about.
and no wonder i had a bloody mid life crises either! I wasn't even born till i was 38

what if a powerful government were to hatch a plot to exterminate jehovah's witnesses as an organization?.
they ask this question at the bottom of page 23 of the july wt, and i thought the wording was kind of strange.
the target is not jws "the people" (as in nazi germany) but the org alone.
I wonder if they actually WANT a plot hatched?
They would just LOVE a stouch like the 40s and 50s USA, riots, tar and feathering, beatings and court battles.
What a way to reinvigorate the witnesses and direct attention away from pedophiles and othe troubles...

i'll probably never do it but i was dabbling with the idea of faking an interest in this organisation, getting "recruited", attending all the meetings and pretending to be into it, all while wearing a hidden camera and mic.
maybe i could make a documentary using the footage.. any thoughts?
have any stuck-ins done anything like this?.
you'll probably be unlucky enough to strike one of those real nice genuine Congregations with lovely elders and be sucked into the matrix never to return...

last night i went on a journey, it started with a "wiki" page about "splinter jw groups", from website to website, i learned about men and women, who were left out of the "proclaimers" book.
a field service flash back hit me:.
the territory we worked, was "seldom worked territory", and the adventure came freshly to mind, the first house we encountered a "russellite", strange, but (i thought they were all dead?

i have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.
I too am so sad for your loss, what a waste.
I cannot fathom your pain, only imagine how i would feel, i hope you have a lot of support around you at this time.

is there a possibility that the watchtower will be split into two opposing camps at sometime in the foreseeable future?
judging from the past, do we envisage such a scenario happening before our eyes?.
